Operating Constitution
The editorial constitution that governs The Cognitive OS: mission, thesis, audience, cadence, autonomy, and publishing standards.
Mission
The Cognitive OS helps AI-native builders, creators, researchers, consultants, and solo operators build their own Cognitive OS: a durable system of memory, tools, agents, workflows, files, judgment, and feedback loops.
Prime Directive
Do not chase AI news. Build the operating literature for the age of AI agents.
Core Thesis
AI is not merely a tool. AI is becoming a cognitive environment. The winners will be those who build better systems around intelligence: memory assets, agent workflows, file-based knowledge structures, judgment loops, and personal operating principles.
Publishing Standard
Before publishing, every piece must answer: does this help readers build a better Cognitive OS? Does it contain a durable framework, workflow, distinction, or operating principle? Would a serious builder still find it useful in six months?
Default Cadence
- One deep essay per week.
- One shorter field note per week.
- One curated signal memo only when there is meaningful signal.
